NIPB Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The Essential qualification and Desirable qualification are detailed below.
Essential Qualification
Master’s degree in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Science/ Botany/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Plant pathology/Plant physiology/Microbiology with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of Research experience, following candidates are eligible for application with NET as exemption:
- PhD Degree holders.
- Professional Master degree holders (3 years)
- Master degree holders with Integrated degrees like B.Tech & M.tech (5 years)
- Any National Level examination conducted by Central Govt Dept./ Agencies, are considered as NET for the purpose of eligibility of SRF viz. CSIR, CSIR-UGC, GATE, DBT-Eligibility test/ Test conducted In Bioinformatics National Consortium, DAE-JEST, & JGEEBILS, NBHM, ICMR-JRF, ICAR, Dop-GPAT.
Desirable Qualification
Research experience in plant molecular biology, gene cloning, construct development, plant transformation (rice, wheat, mustard, chickpeas), tissue culture, wet lab work development and analysis of transgenic plants, genome editing in plants, Scientific writing as evidenced from publication fellowship/Associateship/Training.
