NCPOR Recruitment 2025 Essential Qualification and Experience for Scientist Post are detailed below.
Scientist D
● Essential Educational Qualification : Master’s Degree in any branch of Science related to Marine Biology/ Marine Sciences/ Earth Sciences or its equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology related to the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
● Essential Experience : 07 years experience in teaching (at graduate or postgraduate level), research and development, survey, administration, planning, supervision or training etc. in the field of marine biology/ microbiology/ biological oceanography/ biogeochemistry.
● Desirable : Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Doctorate in the relevant branch of Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
Scientist C
● Essential Educational Qualification : Master’s Degree in in any branch of Science related to Earth Sciences/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology/ Marine Science/ Environmental Science/ Chemical Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology related to the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
● Essential Experience : 03 years experience in teaching (at graduate or postgraduate level), research and development, survey, administration, planning, supervision or training etc. in the field of isotope geosciences/ environmental geochemistry/ biogeochemistry/ organic geochemistry/ palaeoclimatology.
● Desirable : Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Doctorate in the relevant branch of Science from a recognized University.
Scientist B
Essential Educational Qualification : Master’s Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Geology or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical / Shipbuilding / Marine Engineering) with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable :
i) Experience in oceanographic vessel management or ship repairs & construction.
ii) Having field experience in oceanographic surveys/sampling
