Bank Clerk Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage driver and employee expenses.
  2. Enter EFT remittances and check payment stubs into QuickBooks.
  3. Generate invoices for repair work and follow up on overdue payments.
  4. Compile reports for fuel expenses and gross revenue using Excel.
  5. Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial data.
  6. Process accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
  7. Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  8. Maintain accurate financial transaction records and update accounting systems.
  9. Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  10. Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  11. Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances.
  12. Process accounts payable transactions, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
  13. Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
  14. Stay current on accounting standards and provide technical guidance.

Bank Clerk Job Qualifications

  1. Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  2. Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams, as well as Slack.
  4. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and dispatch software (e.g., Transplus Fleetmanager) is preferred.
  5. An accounting background or relevant designation is an asset.
  6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
